Creating change through Connection

gifting unconditional love

Elizabeth Kubler Ross speaks a lot about death and dying.
One of my favorite quotes by her is that "You make your own hell or your own heaven by the way you have lived."
She explains that when we die, our version a of hell would be to see all the things we have done and said that have affected others negatively and we will see those effects on them. And our version of heaven would be us seeing the effects of the positive deeds and words on others and this world.
I would truly love to see more heaven than hell after my time has come to cross over, experience more love than anguish or sadness.
So here is my commitment: Today I choose to consciously connect to this world in a positive way. Though I realize that I am far from perfect and will do or say things that may cause pain to others, I choose to do my best to show kindness and love to those around me. At the end of each day, I will ensure that I have accomplished at least one good deed for the day, no matter how small.
I invite you to join me. :)

kindness coins

Our kindness coins are on order! So excited to spread the good.
These coins are a great way to reward others for acts of kindness or to let them know you care! A great way to start connecting! Each coin includes a phrase like  “You made me smile!” and “Pass it on!”

We will be handing them out to others to let them know we care. The goal is to keep passing the coin and not keep it, so that its energy stays in motion, like it's supposed to. ;)
Please let us know if you would like one to start a cycle and we will be happy to mail it to you.
Keep it going! One day, one kind word at a time. :)

the gift of time

What a concept! Giving someone a gift of time.
Our time here is so precious. The gift of time is one of the most precious gifts anyone can give/get.
Our Earth is moving along the orbit at almost 30 kilometers per second, or just over 67,000 miles per hour. Sound fast? It is. We always say "Time flies" and it sure does. Life is too short. There is never enough time.
We suggest that you reconsider how you spend your time and make it count more.
Some of the practical applications of this may be that you decide to plan a year of dates with the ones you love, set a special time aside for quality time with others who mean a lot to you, set up a system of time outs of you day to pause and become more present.
Bottom line, we encourage you to take a look at how you spend your time and decide whether anything needs to change.
Please comment and share your ideas and thoughts here.

WHat is heartstrings challenge?

Heartstrings Challenge was born in honor of my dear friends Jayson J. and Brett P., as well as millions of others lost to suicide. This challenge is about honoring who we are and cherishing the connections we have with each other and this world. This challenge encourages each one of us to make a difference in our own lives and lives of others through good deeds. It promotes positive interactions with this world.
The challenge is very simple. To participate, we ask that you spend a moment of your time each day connection and creating positive heartstrings. Whether it is noticing someone doing a good job and letting their manager know about it, or stopping to smell the roses, the challenge encourages you to pause and be present, here and now, build a positive heartstring to this world.
The catch is that you have to spend zero money doing it. This can't be about possessions or physical things.
Get creative! Find ways to do heart things from the heart.
Please comment with some of your ideas and accomplishments. It's ok to steal each others' ideas ;)
Happy healthy connecting!
