As a creative depth counselor, Nina Danhorn MS LPC encourages awareness through self-exploration and acceptance. Nina has been a therapist for over 15 years, with additional experience as a Certified Teacher, Trainer and Human Resource Manager. She holds two Master's Degrees in Counseling and Education. Nina is passionate about "walking people home to themselves", helping them reconnect to their authentic self and establish a stable system for self-exploration and continuous growth. She believes that by truly knowing and accepting ourselves and taking back our power, we rediscover our purpose and find peace in being. In addition to traditional "talk therapy", Nina Danhorn MS LPC utilizes experiential approaches of Expressive Arts, Sandplay, Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Art Therapy. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and SoulCollage Facilitator, and is well on the way to becoming a Certified Sandplay and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She utilizes creative arts, Sandplay, music, writing/journaling and other creative mediums combined with body centered trauma approaches to foster deep personal growth, to help you gain access to your inner resources for healing & clarity on your path to healthy living. In complement, she uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Skill Building Strategies to help clients gain proper skills in order to achieve and maintain the life of acceptance, connection and inner peace. Nina is skilled at helping facilitate lasting healing to adults and adolescents who experienced trauma or loss, are going through a life transition and need support on their journey to a more balanced and happy life they truly deserve.
